Therapy for Anxiety, Depression & Self-Esteem | Virtual Across Ontario
I’m Euodia Leung, MSW, Registered Social Worker, a therapist who believes meaningful change begins when people feel genuinely understood. My goal is to create a space where you can set down the pressure of having everything figured out. Rather than assuming what your experiences mean, I believe in discovering that understanding together—with deep curiosity, compassion, and without judgment.
Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of supporting adults navigating anxiety and low self-esteem — alongside depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, and complex questions of identity and self-understanding, including exploring neurodivergence and what it means to experience the world differently. Again and again, I've seen that people are remarkably resilient. Yet many have spent years adapting to expectations, environments, or ways of being that do not fully reflect who they are.
I'm part of the team at Becoming Yourself Counselling and Consulting, a neurodiversity-affirming practice offering online therapy across Ontario. You can read my announcement about adding Euodia to the team, or meet our full team of therapists to see who might be the right fit for you.
Euodia Leung, MSW, RSW provides virtual therapy across Ontario at Becoming Yourself Counselling & Consulting, a neurodiversity-affirming practice, supporting adults and university students with anxiety, self-esteem, depression, trauma, and life transitions — currently accepting new clients with no waitlist.
This is one of the questions that guides my work. Often, the very strategies that helped us navigate difficult experiences are the same ones we later question, criticize, or wish we could change. Rather than viewing these patterns as flaws, I believe they deserve to be understood. Together, we explore where they came from, what purpose they have served, and what may better support you moving forward.
My role isn't to tell you who you are or who you should become. I see therapy as a process of essence unfolding—gently exploring the experiences, beliefs, and expectations that have shaped who you are today, while reconnecting with your strengths, values, and authentic self. Through this process, my hope is that you develop greater self-understanding, confidence, and self-compassion so you can move through life with a deeper sense of meaning and authenticity.
It would be a privilege to walk alongside you in that journey.
I work virtually with adults across Ontario, including:
Before moving into private practice, I worked with post-secondary students in a college setting, and students remain central to my practice. This is a stage where nearly everything is a transition at once — academic pressure, independence, and the identity questions that arrive all together. Sessions are virtual, so our work continues through summers, co-op terms, graduation, and moves between campus and home.
My approach is collaborative, relational, client-centred, trauma-informed, strengths-based, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change begins with understanding.
I show up as a real human, genuinely curious, present, and invested in what may matter to you. I believe it is important to feel safe sharing openly with your therapist without fear of judgement. At the same time, therapy isn't always about staying comfortable; when you're ready, I'll gently challenge you to explore new perspectives, patterns, and possibilities for growth.
I also believe therapy works best when we're working together. In my practice, I regularly check in about how you're feeling about our work, whether it's meeting your expectations, and what you may need from me. In this way, I can tailor our work to suit your personality, goals, and needs - rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
After completing my Bachelor of Social Work at Toronto Metropolitan University, I went on to complete my Master of Social Work at the University of Waterloo. I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (Registration #836871).
While I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and trauma-informed practices, I take an integrative, evidence-informed approach to therapy. I also take a transdiagnostic approach to care, exploring the underlying patterns, experiences, and coping strategies that shape how we think, feel, and relate to ourselves and others—not simply focusing on a diagnosis or symptom.

Understanding: Time and space to be heard without expectation or criticism.
Compassion: A kinder stance toward yourself, grounded in curiosity rather than harshness.
Acceptance: Working with what’s present—identity, history, current realities— so change is realistic and sustainable.
Non-judgmental: A safe, steady place to reflect at your own pace.
We decide together what to focus on, and move at a rhythm that feels sustainable — never rushing to fix what deserves to be understood first.
Skills for anxiety, self-compassion, and communication are always matched to you, not a manual.
Secure online counselling in Ontario makes therapy more accessible wherever you live.
What does Euodia specialize in?
Anxiety, self-esteem, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, and identity and self-understanding — including exploring neurodivergence. She also works with young adults and with college and university students.
Yes. Low self-esteem usually is not a character trait — it is a set of beliefs and coping patterns that formed for understandable reasons. Therapy looks at where that story came from, what it has been protecting, and what would serve you better now. This is one of the areas most central to Euodia's work.
Yes. Euodia worked with post-secondary students in a college setting before moving into private practice, and she continues to work with young adults and students across Ontario. Sessions are virtual, so therapy continues through summers, co-op terms, graduation, and moves between campus and home.
Yes. Identity and self-understanding are central to her work, including exploring neurodivergence and what it means to experience the world differently. Clients seeking focused work on late diagnosis, ADHD, autism, AuDHD, or twice-exceptionality specifically may be matched with Michael Holker.
She is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Mindful Self-Compassion, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed practice. She works integratively and transdiagnostically rather than following a single protocol.
It means looking underneath labels. Anxiety, low self-esteem, perfectionism, and burnout often share the same roots — patterns and coping strategies that once protected you. Rather than treating a diagnosis or a symptom checklist, Euodia explores where those patterns came from and what would serve you better now. You are more than a category, so therapy should be too.
Euodia Leung holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Toronto Metropolitan University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Waterloo. She is a Registered Social Worker in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, registration #836871.
